VICTORIA FEARNLEY
If you’re thinking about inviting a professional organiser into your home, it’s only natural that you’ll want to know a little more about the person first. So here’s a glimpse behind the scenes.
I’m originally from Sweden, where I grew up in a small village. From a young age, I’ve always loved order and organisation — I was the child who happily rearranged wardrobes and restyled shelves simply because I enjoyed it!
In my defence, we didn’t have electronic devices or endless daytime TV back then… so reorganising my room felt like perfectly good entertainment. Now that childhood habit has turned into a career I genuinely love.
MORE ABOUT ME
I moved to the UK in 1996 to combine my last 2 years of university with being closer to my then boyfriend (now husband!) and fast-forward nearly 30 years we’re still married. I am also a mum (incl. to two dogs) and we all live in Virginia Water.
Having been brought up in Sweden, I love regular visits to IKEA (who doesn’t?) I love making up their furniture and finding new storage solutions. It might be my Swedish heritage that made me a keen DIY-er, so typically I always have a new project on the go! In summer I also love pottering around in my garden.
MEMBER OF APDO
I’m proud to be a registered member of the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers (APDO) — UK's leading not-for-profit industry body dedicated to setting standards and promoting excellence within the professional organising and decluttering profession since 2004.
As an APDO member, I adhere to their Code of Ethics and professional standards that ensure integrity, confidentiality, and best practice in everything I do. I also hold valid business insurance. This gives my clients reassurance that they are working with a qualified, accountable professional.
In addition to my membership, I also volunteer for APDO, helping as a copy writer.
